Childish games, worn out jeans, bicycles with flat tires, last year’s schoolwork, the holiday gifts that never achieved sentiment… Over time, many unspectacular things are forgotten, misplaced or cast aside. The real misfortune though, comes when something truly spectacular, be it a tattered scrapbook of tarnished memories or a treasure chest of seemingly wonderless trinkets, are obliviously overlooked and left to be buried by all of the unspectacular refuse.
Fortunately there is always a glimmer of hope. Always a path longing to be explored by an unsuspecting traveler. Always an eye that’s able to open a closed mind, allowing it to see the extraordinary mysteries of the simplest of things.
That glimmer of hope is brewing now, not only in the characters within this book but also in its reader.
